George Washington About the Design
As a costume designer, Anderson has approached this project considering the innate character/shape of the dinosaur and relating it to interesting and unique qualities of Pittsburgh. She believes the presentation of these dinosaurs is inherently theatrical, therefore they should catch the eye of the audience/population, amuse them and give them something to think about. In addition to film, television and stage work, Anderson has often done mascots and fantasy costumes. She claims that painting diSold!nosaurs is very similar, and easier since the model doesn't fidget around!

This bright presentation includes painting and 3D pieces. The hat, wig bow, and boot tops are vinyl, the wig is brown rope glued on in strands, the trim metallic silver braid, all topped off with buttons. T. rex would have also looked lovely in this outfit, based on the Washington portrait!
