About the Design
Inspiration came in bits and pieces to young women of The Ellis School as they deftly fashioned this Stegosaurus out of ceramic dishes, then grouted each inch between the plates. They dubbed the mosaic masterpiece "Plato." Karen Kaighin, photography teacher at Ellis and Pittsburgh Filmmakers, coordinated the project along with artÂ
teachers from throughout the school.
