About
the Design
The Andy Warhol Museum played host to a dinosaur by Burton
Morris, the pop artist most often compared to Warhol. The
two artists may differ and style and technique, but they share
a similar sense of color and impact. Like Warhol, Morris embraces
a vision of portraying familiar imagery in a new way.
The Statue
of Liberty, one of the most famous American icons, reaches
new heights in this DinoMite Days dinosaur. This Lady Liberty
Stegosaurus has clout. The Pittsburgh Business Times
sponsored its creation and is working to ensure that the piece
stays here in Pittsburgh. Burton Morris paintings are exhibited
in the permanent collections of the International Olympic
Museum, the Carter Center, Warner Brothers Studios, Gallo
Winery and the Microsoft Corporation. His artwork has helped
to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for charities around
the gl obe.
