About
the Design
Young people do appreciate the city’s cultural offerings,
this Tyrannosaurus rex says in a big way. Students
from Shaler Area High School designed “Ticket-saurus”
and covered him with stubs from live theater, symphony concerts,
ballet performances, museums and art galleries in the Pittsburgh
Cultural District and throughout the region. The school’s
National Art Honor Society students coordinated the project
and created the look of swirling scales on the dino by varying
the colors and design of the tickets.
Pittsburgh's
“Ticket to Culture" has been a popular attraction
at the Shaler North Hills Library in Glenshaw. He is ready
to move to his next venue to help promote
the arts in Pittsburgh.

PNC Bank takes a comprehensive approach to helping enrich
the lives of its neighbors and drive economic development
in the regions it serves. Carnegie Museum of Natural History’s
DinoMite Days was a great fit for this strategy—it highlighted
the museum’s outstanding displays, showcased the work
of area artists, and attracted visitors to the core of our
region. PNC Bank was proud to play a role.
